CROSSING T’S CALLIGRAPHER
I was born and raised in Boston MA where I work full time as a Registered Nurse. I am lucky to have a schedule that allows me to balance and enjoy both of my careers- caring for newborn babies in the hospital, with time to write pretty things and build my business on my days off.
I’ve been fascinated with neat penmanship for as long as I can remember. Before I was even taught cursive in elementary school, I was mesmerized by the elegance of cursive writing and spent hours tracing my parent’s signatures and adding curls to the end of my printed letters. Later in high school, I loved to write out my friend’s names in different styles and colors to match their personalities and also had a slight obsession with meticulously re-writing my notes. Even the night before a big exam, I couldn’t begin to review unless my notes were all perfectly uniform with different colored pens. While some mothers might have had me checked out, my mom just signed me up for a calligraphy class. Within just a few months of one class, I started booking weddings and special events.
Working with my clients to create stationery and event decor tailored to their personal style and story has turned this side hustle into my ultimate passion project.
